Sizes are very important part when you need to order any custom rugs. When you wish to have rugs made in your own size, it is "CUSTOM SIZED RUGS". These can be made in hand-tufted or hand-knotted or flatweaves.

Production:

Once you are happy with your sample and have approved all the artwork we put your order into production. The process take between 5-8 weeks depending on the size and dimensions or your rug or carpet.

Hand tufted weaving process:

This type of manufacturing process is considered to be the fastest way of producing a rug by hand. Namrata Exports can produce variety of rugs using this technique like modern, contemporary and traditional designs.
Wool is considered to be the most sought after material for this type of construction technique. You will find other materials being used as well like acrylic, polyester, viscose and jute.

These rugs are manufactured using a loop of yarn which is pulled out of the rug's backing instead of making knots. For the entire tufting process, a special 'tufting gun' is used which is the basic reason why these carpets are cheaper. The manufacturing process is less labour intensive.

The manufacturing process also includes a canvas backing which makes it a lot easier for the weaver as it provides guidance during the weaving process. It is the design imprints at the backing which helps in the weaving process. The canvas is referred to as 'cartoon'. This is of great help to create even designs and patterns when the weaver is pushing the loops through.

Once the yarn is woven into a rug, there are few steps in the final processing of the rugs.

Trimming, washing, and drying of the rug – soon after the weaving, the rug is taken off from the loom for its trimming. The surface of the rug is smoothening out by removing extra hanging fibers. Pointed sharp scissors are used for this leveling. This trimming brings out the clarity in the design of the rug.

Once the weaver is done with trimming, he will then focus on the backing to add some protective layers over it. This will avoid the piles getting apart from the carpets. It can be referred to as the foundation of your carpet and this will serve for many important purposes. First a layer of plastic or rubber grid is applied (known as scrim) which is then followed by latex glue. The latex glue helps in keeping the pile and backing together. In the end, a final layer is applied for an added protection while offering a grip to the ground to avoid the carpet moving around.

Carpets are backcoated to make them more durable and readily handle. A good backcoating system serves to anchor the pile and prevent pull-out of the tufts, minimizes loosening of the pile, reduces shedding, provides dimensional stability and prevents fraying during cutting.

After the backing process, the carpet is sheared and the loops are cut which will translate into the fibres. As compared to the hand-knotted carpets, these require very less labour while looking very similar in appearance.

Packing Process:

After the carpet is finished, it is packed and bailed for exports.
The process of Rug Packing at Namrata Exports is conducted in the following process:

• The manufactured carpet is rolled around the cardboard pipe.
• A white transparent plastic sheet is wrapped around the carpet.
• An adhesive tape is tied around to secure the plastic over the carpet.
• The brand identification mark on a silken tag, is sewn below the pile. The tag carries the logo and name of the company along with the care instructions.

Handtufted Rugs

Hand tufted rugs are not made on a loom.
Tufted rugs are created without knots.
Hand tufted rugs (also called hand made/cut pile rugs) are produced by punching individual yarns through a fabric sheet using a hand-held tool device called a “tufting gun”. Firstly our pure cotton carpet canvas is measured and then the design is either screen printed or digitally printed on to this like a piece of artwork. The benefit of the modern printed version is both accuracy and complexity.
Once the rug has been completed a second fabric is glued to the back to hold the yarns in place.
Hand tufted rugs are still highly durable and can last for 15-20 years without a problem.
